It was very nice, and I enjoyed it very much. I would have liked just a little more instruction though, I've never painted before.

It was great because it was just a small group of us and Naseem the instructor. She was wonderful. There, patient and helpful and provided great instruction and guidance. I would love to have another class or classes with her specifically in watercolor.

Title or Location: Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons Portrait
Well, this is a pencil drawing of Daenerys Targaryen from the show Game of Thrones. I am a big fan of the book, tv series, and also the character. My pencil of choice for drawing is the Papermate mechnical style, I believe it's a graphite lead. You can drop so much of the graphite onto the paper and the dark areas just look great. I like to use the paper blending sticks and sometimes a q-tip to spread and blend the graphite. Nothing too complicated with the drawing, I suppose I like to start sim

Title or Location: Honey Bee
I had seen watercolors of bees that other people had done and thought it would be interesting to try one. I found a resource photo to help me. It turned out way better than I thought it would. I used a metallic paint over a thin wash of yellow on the wings. That turned out really cool.

Title: The Four Mares of Thrace. Medium: oil on canvas. Dimensions: 48 x 60 inches. The Four Mares of Thrace was inspired by my involvement with wild horse rescue non-profit organizations. Besides art, horses are my passion. The story from The Four Mares of Thrace comes out of a Greek myth. The mares were owned by Hercules, as the story goes. They were fierce and not to be trifled with. In this painting the mares are conjuring up a storm to thwart a BLM helicopter flying in to round up a h

Title or Location: Authenticity
My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

Title or Location: My Favourite Toy
This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

Title or Location: Balnagask golf course
I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
