Passion, tears , music, art, courses hot through my veins like the ghosts of my ancestors living on in the shadows, always near, always in my soul.

As with most of my artwork. This was done as a commission piece, but was unable to get paid for it. My mother loved Janis Joplin's music and I liked the way it turned out, so I kept it.

Title or Location: "Sullivan"
(this is a second piece that was part of my post where I was asked to submit to the newsletter)This piece is a character design for my upcoming zombie apocalypse comic "Revelation." Depicted is my original character, Hunter Sullivan, a corrupt police officer haunted by the deaths of people he failed to save. This illustration was created on a Surface Pro 7 laptop with a Renaisser pen. My art program of choice is "Clip Studio Paint." Like my other works, I do my best to mimic a tradit

Title or Location: "Kinevsky"
This is an original character illustration for my upcoming zombie apocalypse comic titled "REVELATION" that I hope to formally announce in the coming months. I created this design to challenge myself to see if I could recreate the same character in a different outfit, with a prop and a different pose. Overall, I'm happy with the result! While I work almost exclusively on a laptop, I do my best to create a workflow that resembles working traditionally. I sketch, outline, then paint with t

Title or Location: Mystic
"Mystic "is an intuitive work in acrylic on canvas and measures 61cm sqr. It begins life as a few marks on a blank canvas and from then on each mark suggests the next one. This is how all my paintings evolve. I am obsessed with colour and composition which seems to come naturally to me. I know when a work is finished because it seems to let me know " there is nothing more to do here, it is time to move on" I listen to my work now, instead of my inner critic and it is wonderful to know I have cre

I work with a doctor that has dachshunds and she commisioned me to paint her pups! Done in acylics 15 in x 30 in on canvas. It was fun painting this and I put a lake tahoe background as the pups were actually in a pen and the owner has a cabin in Tahoe and wanted a sun setting sky.

Title or Location: ?Red Love?
This piece depicts a woman with an exaggerated highlight, giving off the impression that she is basking in the sun. It is ultimately a tribute to the powerful black women I grew up around, creating and being part of the inspiration for why I create. It is a mixed media portrait, utilizing mostly colored pencils and pens.

Title or Location: A Place to Breathe
I wanted to create a place of tranquility and quiet. A retreat into nature where you can take a moment to breathe. There is a hush over the valley. The storm is over and the water quietly continues on its way much as it has always done. It is here I invite you to stay for a moment or two and rest.
